Build the spine of a life chapter
A timeline poster works because the order does the emotional work: each card means more because of the card before it. Add between two and eight milestones — a date or season, a short headline and one sentence — using the add and remove controls, and the editor keeps every entry in strict chronological display order. The canvas draws one vertical center axis, places your cards on alternating sides, and joins each card to the axis with a measured connector and a node dot. The very first node is marked with a ringed star to show where the chapter opens, and the last node is drawn as a diamond that closes the run; the middle nodes use clean filled circles. The result reads top to bottom like a printed keepsake, not a slide.
Everything is laid out automatically. The composer measures every headline and sentence at its real font metrics, wraps the description by width inside the card, adds the date row and padding, sums the column height against the printable area and then recomputes a single global scale factor when the milestones are many or the sentences are long — so cards, gaps, dots and connectors shrink together until the whole story fits, with the title still given its proper place at the top. Edit the title to name your chapter; it defaults to “Our Story” in English and “我们的故事” in Chinese, auto-fits its own size, and the poster recenters itself correctly even when you later export a portrait A4 or a wide rectangle rather than the square preview.

The preview is a lightweight 1200-pixel rendering; Download repaints all geometry and type at 300 dots per inch in your chosen size from A4 to 24×36 inches, which keeps connectors hairline-smooth and small captions crisp when framed. Dates and sentences never leave the browser: no upload, no login, no watermark, and no server stores the milestones of your relationship, pregnancy, adoption, friendship or family history.

How many milestones fit on one poster?

What do the star and diamond markers mean?
The ringed star is your first milestone — the moment the chapter begins — and the diamond is the latest one, so the poster visibly opens and closes. The filled dots between are the ordinary, equally important moments in between.
