These Terms of Use govern your use of the Memory Poster Studio website and its twenty-four poster, card and print-utility tools. By opening the site or generating a poster you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please close the site and do not use the tools. The tools and their output are offered free of charge during the current period, as also indicated by the "Free forever today · Pro coming soon" notice in the header.
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license to use the posters and cards you personally generate with the tools — including the 300 DPI PNG files you download — for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. That includes printing gifts for family and friends, framing a star map for your home, decorating a nursery, or sharing a picture of your print privately. This license is to the rendered image you created using the names, dates, text and photographs you supplied; it is not a license to the underlying website, code, catalogs, brand assets or tool designs.
The website, its layout, source code, astronomical calculations, embedded data tables, color themes, typographic compositions, text written by us, logos and the "Memory Poster Studio" name are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other applicable laws. You may not copy, clone, mirror, decompile, scrape or republish the site or any substantial part of it, nor register confusingly similar names or marks. Star positions derive from public astronomical catalogs; all other creative and technical work presented here remains ours. Your own lawful input — names, dates, quotes and photographs you provide — remains yours, and we never receive it in the first place.
You may not sell the generated files or prints, offer them on marketplaces or print-on-demand services, include them in paid packs or stock libraries, or redistribute the blank templates, tools or files as your own product. You may not use the output to build a competing service, and you may not present posters made here as commercially available merchandise without a written agreement with us.
For clarity, and consistent with our Privacy Policy: this site collects no uploads at all. Any photograph you add to a collage is read by your browser and processed entirely on your own device; it is not transmitted to, stored on or backed up by any server operated by us. Consequently, these terms cannot and do not grant us any rights over your source images — you simply never give us a copy — and the restrictions above concern only the generated artwork and the tools.
You agree not to misuse the site: no attempts to overload, probe, reverse engineer, automate against or disable it; no injecting malicious code; no removing or altering legal, attribution or policy notices. You are responsible for the content you put into a poster. Do not create keepsakes containing material you have no right to use — for example, copyrighted lyrics or photographs without permission — because the license in Section 2 covers only lawful, personal use.
The site and tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability or error-free output. We design the astronomy carefully, but the service is free and personal: see also our separate Disclaimer page for the difference between geometric accuracy and what is visibly observable on a given night.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Memory Poster Studio and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost memories, printing costs, framing expenses, delivery delays, or damage arising from reliance on a printed poster, third-party links, advertisements or browser behavior. Our total liability relating to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us to use it — which is zero. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
These terms are interpreted fairly according to general principles; nothing here limits rights you cannot contractually waive under the consumer and privacy laws of your country. We may update these Terms as the site and the upcoming Pro program evolve, with a new revision date shown on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
