1. Information this static website collects

Memory Poster Studio is a static website. Every poster tool — the star map maker, the moon phase poster, the birth stats poster and the rest of the collection — runs entirely as JavaScript inside your own browser. This site does not require registration: there is no sign-up form, no user account, no password and no profile. You never enter an email address or a phone number to use a tool, and the dates, names, cities and coordinates you type into a tool are used only to draw your poster on your own screen.

Nothing you create is uploaded to a server. Your poster is rendered on a local HTML canvas and downloaded directly from your browser as a PNG file. Because the image is generated and saved on your device, we never see, receive, store or host the picture, the birth date, the location or the personal text on it. Our web servers (if any logs are retained by the hosting provider) may record standard, non-identifying technical requests such as the pages visited, the browser type and a generic IP address, the same way nearly every ordinary website does; we do not link such data to the moments you design.

2. localStorage: language preference and favorites

The only information this website deliberately saves on your device is stored with your browser's localStorage facility, in two entries. mps_lang remembers your language preference (English or Chinese) so the pages open in the language you chose on your next visit. mps_favorites stores the slugs of the tools you marked with the heart button, which power the Favorites page. Both entries contain no name, no contact details and no content from your posters, and both are kept entirely on your device — they are not uploaded to any server. You can inspect or erase them at any time through your browser's site settings, or by clearing browsing data; clearing them simply resets the language and empties your favorites list.

3. Google AdSense and third-party advertising cookies

We may display advertising supplied by Google AdSense and other third-party advertising companies. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits; Google's use of the DART cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the Internet. These cookies allow vendors to infer broad interest categories and to show advertising they believe is more relevant to you. We do not control the cookies that Google or its partners set, and this statement does not cover the practices of advertisers or third-party websites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google's Ads Settings at www.google.com/settings/ads (Google and its participating vendors also describe their own cookie practices at www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/). Alternatively, users may opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising through the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org, or, for visitors in the European Economic Area, through www.youronlinechoices.eu. You may also configure your browser to refuse cookies or to notify you when cookies are sent; parts of this site will still work if cookies are disabled, although preferences such as language and favorites may not persist.

4. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your computer or mobile device. It lets that website, or a third party such as an advertising network, remember your visits or settings over time. Cookies may be "persistent" (they remain after you close the browser) or "session" cookies (deleted when the browser closes), and they may be set by the site you are visiting (first-party) or by another company providing content, advertising or analytics on that site (third-party). Cookies cannot read other data on your disk, cannot install software and cannot carry viruses by themselves. Most browsers explain how to block or delete cookies in their help documentation.

5. Third-party ad networks

When advertising is enabled, ads and ad-related technologies are delivered by third-party ad networks rather than by us. These companies may use aggregated, non-personally-identifying information about your visits in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. They act as independent data controllers under their own privacy policies, which may differ from ours. Please review the policies of Google and any other network serving you ads to understand their retention, targeting and opt-out choices; the links above are the official starting points.

6. GDPR — visitors in the European Economic Area

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you rights over the limited technical data described above. As a data subject you may request: access to any personal data concerning you; rectification of inaccurate data; erasure ("right to be forgotten") where there is no lawful reason to keep it; restriction of processing in certain circumstances; data portability of the data you provided; and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Because poster content never leaves your device, the fastest way to exercise erasure for anything you typed is to clear your browser data. For any other request, contact us at the email address below and we will respond within a reasonable period.

7. CCPA — California residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act grants you specific rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights: exercising them will never result in denial of service, different pricing or a different level of service. You have the right to know what categories of personal information a business collects, the sources and purposes of collection, and the categories of third parties with whom it is shared, and the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions. You also have the right to direct a business not to sell your personal information — the "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" right. We hereby state clearly: this site does not sell your personal information, and the poster information you enter is never transmitted off your computer in the first place. CCPA requests may be sent to the email address below.

8. Children's privacy

This website and its tools are general-audience products and are not directed to children under 13 years of age, consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not permit account creation because no accounts exist. Families are welcome to design keepsakes together, and parents remain in full control since all output stays on the family device. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through a channel connected to this site, please email us and we will promptly address it.

9. Third-party links

Our articles and pages may link to external websites — star catalog references, printing resources, advertising destinations and so on. These third-party links are provided for convenience only. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, products, advertisements or privacy practices. Following a link means you leave this site and become subject to the policies that apply there; please read them before submitting information.

10. Policy updates and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy when the site, the advertising setup or the law changes. Material changes will be reflected by a new "last updated" date on this page. This policy was last updated on 2026-10-11. Questions, privacy requests and opt-out assistance are welcome at zjp133@outlook.com.

Cookie

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits; Google's use of the DART cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the Internet.(包括 Google 在内的第三方供应商会使用 Cookie,根据你以往的访问投放广告;Google 使用 DART Cookie,使其自身及其合作伙伴能够依据你对本站及互联网上其他网站的访问向你投放广告。)

4. Cookie
